Big update on KL Rahul’s fitness – find out whether he’ll join the team on England tour
Team India’s tour to England will begin next month where the Indian team will play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand from 18 to 22 June. After this, India will go on to play a 5 match Test series against England. Ahead of the tour, players will undergo a 14-day quarantine in India before departing to the United Kingdom on June 2.
The BCCI has given a big update on KL Rahul’s inclusion in the team for England tour. According to reports, Rahul is likely to join the team on May 19 in Mumbai. He underwent a surgery for acute appendicitis on May 3 and has been selected for the Test squad but the team management will be keeping an eye on his recovery before leaving for the tour. It takes 15 days to recovery from an appendicitis surgery and as it is already 12 days from the surgery, there are big hopes of Rahul’s inclusion in the playing XI against England.
There is good news for the fans that KL Rahul is making a speedy recovery from injury and will leave for England with the Indian team. Rahul will leave from Chennai on a chartered flight to Mumbai where Mayank Agarwal will accompany him.
