Team India will have to abide strict rules in England-reports
The Indian team will leave for England on 2 June for the WTC final against New Zealand and a five-match Test series against England. On June 18, India and New Zealand will play the final match of the World Test Championship while the Test series against England will begin on August 4. After reaching England on 2 June, Team India will have to remain in strict quarantine as a protocol for Covid-19 pandemic. Only after 3 days will the Indian players be allowed to practice in bio-bubble.
The New Zealand team has already reached England. And, ahead the final WTC match, New Zealand will play a two-match Test series against England. New Zealand players have had to follow strict quarantine rules in England. After being in Quarantine for 3 days, the players were able to start their practice session. However, no official statement has been released from the BCCI on the matter.
There are speculations being made of talks between BCCI and the England and Wales Cricket Board on the matter as most Indian players are already in a bio-secure bubble in Mumbai and other will be joining soon. This COVID-19 will be Red List Quarantine of the UK Government for India due to the increasing number of cases in the country but there are hopes of getting some relief for the players.
