IPL 2021: Rajasthan to take on Delhi in the 7th match at Wankhede Stadium
Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are two teams that comes with new energy. Both sides will meet at the Wankhede Stadium for the 7th match of IPL season 14. DC who is presently in the second position of the Points Table with 2 points after winning the only match yet played. Whereas, Rajasthan too has so far played one game but failed to find success, hence this is an opportunity not to be missed to order to stay with the herd and not lag behind.
Sanju Samson will be leading Rajasthan while Rishabh Pant is the captain of Delhi team. Both the side are confirmed to have at least one change in the playing XI. Recently, Rajasthan suffered a major blow as all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the tournament due to a broken finger. While, Delhi gets a big boost as Kagiso Rabada returns to the team after completing his isolation period. Rabada wasn’t available for selection for the opening fixture. Though his bowling partner Anrich Nortje remains unavailable as he has tested positive for COVID-19.
One of the teams will be gaining the lead over another side as they have 11 wins each in 22 matches so far. In IPL 2020 played in the UAE, DC won both league stage matches.
With a positive attitude Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson wishes to return to the field, as he said, “The feeling in the squad is really good. We’re all eager to get back on the pitch and do well. We played well in the last game and unfortunately didn’t quite get over the line. I think it’s important for us to follow the process and take it game by game. Important to focus on what our job is, that is to express ourselves and play the brand of cricket we want to play. I believe we have a strong squad that is capable of producing the right results in different situations.”
