Lucknow IPL team asks fans to suggest name for the Franchise

The newest addition to the Indian Premier League the Lucknow team for the first time debuted on social media and has asked the fans to suggest the best name for the team. The cash-rich tournament in the next edition will welcome 10 teams instead of eight. Although, the two new IPL teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, are yet to officially reveal their names but at the same time have reached out to fans for their suggestions. Team Lucknow has already begun making headlines for acquiring a star-studded coaching set-up with former India opener Gautam Gambhir and Zimbabwe great Andy Flower.

The Lucknow IPL team received a warm welcome by gathering over 20,000 followers. The cricketer-turned-politician Gambhir tweeted, “Hindustan, Swagat karo Lucknow Ka! @TeamLucknowIPL#IPLGetsBigger”
